Common questions
Why is there standing water in the bottom of my dishwasher?
Common causes are a clogged filter, a blocked drain hose or air gap, a garbage disposal knockout plug that was never removed after installation, a shared sink drain that is blocked, or a failed drain pump. Clean the filter first; if water still will not drain, book a repair.
Why are my dishes still dirty after a cycle?
A dirty filter, clogged spray arms, low water supply, a failing wash motor, low water temperature, or detergent problems are the usual causes. Hard water can also leave spots and film, which a rinse aid or water softener addresses.
Why is my dishwasher leaking from the door?
Worn or damaged door gaskets, a dishwasher that is not level, the wrong detergent causing excess suds, or cracked spray arms can all cause door leaks. Leaks from underneath are more often the supply line, drain hose or pump seals.
Can you install a new dishwasher?
Yes. Waywest installs dishwashers including the water supply, shut-off valve, drain connection with a proper high loop or air gap, and securing the unit to the countertop or cabinets.
