Waywest Sheet Metal is the in-house sheet metal and fabrication shop of Waywest Mechanical Group in Nanaimo, BC. It fabricates and installs custom and commercial HVAC ductwork, and provides custom mechanical fabrication including bracket and pipe welding, pipe cutting and threading, custom brackets and structural components. Work is built for Waywest's own projects and for contractors and businesses across Vancouver Island.

A fabrication shop, not just a truck
Waywest runs its own sheet metal and fabrication shop at its Nanaimo yard. Instead of ordering standard fittings and forcing them to fit a building, our fabricators build ducts, transitions, brackets and pipe assemblies to the exact dimensions the job needs.
That shop supports Waywest's heating, cooling and mechanical construction work, and also takes on fabrication for other contractors and businesses.

Built by a mechanical contractor
Because the shop sits inside a mechanical contractor, the people fabricating understand how the finished system has to work — airflow, access for service, hangers and supports, and how the ductwork meets the equipment. Fabrication and installation are planned together.
From small jobs to large projects
The shop handles everything from a single custom transition for a heat pump retrofit to the ductwork and supports for multi-unit residential and commercial projects. Waywest Sheet Metal and Waywest Custom Fabrication are divisions of Waywest Mechanical Group.
