Common questions
When should outdoor gas and water lines go in during a patio renovation?
Before the patio surface, decking or landscaping goes down. Lines are usually run underground or under decking, so installing them after the patio is poured or laid means cutting into new work. Plan appliance locations first and have the lines roughed in during excavation.
Can Waywest install a gas pool heater?
Yes. Waywest's TSBC-licensed gas fitters install and connect gas pool and hot tub heaters, including the gas line from the house or meter, venting clearances and a permit, and service existing heaters. Geothermal pool heating is also available for lower running costs.
Does an outdoor kitchen sink need special plumbing?
An outdoor sink needs a drain connection or approved drainage, a supply line that can be shut off and drained for winter so it does not freeze, and in some cases a hot water supply. Waywest plans these so the sink works in summer and survives an Island winter.
