Spring and fall. The fall visit gets the heating ready before the first cold snap. The spring visit gets cooling ready and clears what winter left behind.
How long it takes. A thorough inspection takes our technician three to four hours. We do not do twenty-minute "tune-ups".
Filters. Filters are included where they are a standard size we carry. Equipment that takes a specialty or manufacturer-specific filter is quoted separately at our cost — no markup.
Pricing. HomeCare is priced around the equipment in your home, so call 250-729-2394 or send the quote form and we will recommend a package with a price.

Why homeowners sign up
Island winters are mild but long, and heating equipment runs for months at a time. The calls we least like taking are the ones that a maintenance visit would have caught: a heat pump iced solid in January, a boiler that locked out on a holiday weekend, a furnace with a cracked heat exchanger. HomeCare puts those checks on the calendar so you do not have to remember them.

Common questions
What is WayWest HomeCare?
WayWest HomeCare is a residential maintenance package from Waywest Mechanical, in three levels: Essential (one visit a year, one system), Complete (spring and fall visits, up to two systems) and Whole Home (spring and fall across all heating, cooling and gas equipment, plus a plumbing and water heater check). All levels include cleaning, inspection, filters, a written summary, priority booking and 5% off.
How much does HomeCare cost?
HomeCare is priced around the equipment in your home, because a single ductless head and a whole-home boiler with radiant zones are very different visits. Call 250-729-2394 or send the quote form and Waywest will recommend a package with a price.
What equipment does HomeCare cover?
HomeCare packages cover residential boilers, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, furnaces, air conditioning systems and other home heating, cooling and mechanical equipment. The package is set up around the equipment in your home.
How often will my equipment be serviced?
Essential covers one visit a year. Complete and Whole Home include two visits, spring and fall — the fall visit prepares heating before the cold, and the spring visit prepares cooling. A full inspection takes three to four hours.
Does maintenance protect my warranty?
Many manufacturers require documented regular maintenance by a qualified technician to keep a warranty valid. HomeCare visits keep that service record for you.
